Bogotá
Colombia is one of the most water-rich countries on earth. But not the entire population always has sufficient access.
Water and other environmental protection issues have become increasingly important in Colombia in recent years, both politically and socially.
The good business relations with local companies and the new environmental projects lead me now to Colombia. The arrival in the capital Bogota was cordial and marked by the hospitality of South America. I find the moderate climate and the 2600 meters of altitude of the plateau very pleasant.
The plateaus of the Andes are important sources of drinking water and are protected accordingly. Rain and fog gather at an altitude of 3500m in countless streams, canals and lakes.
The landscape and the vegetation above the tree line seem partly bizarre and impressed me very much. Here some impressions from the protected area CHINGAZA near Bogotá.
In this "laundry room" of fog and rain the water literally runs down everything: Rocks, bushes and nose tips.
The latest delivery of our Linear Decanter® has already been installed and is waiting for its first use. The SBR plant purifies the wastewater of a new housing estate on the outskirts of Bogotá. The cooperation is a lot of fun because it is highly professional, very effective and characterized by fairness.
